The cross games involved leadership,Teamwork and friendship.Sometime around 11:00 we did our first rotation. My group Kauri A started with Paintball But instead of guns they were slingshots. And to end the day off we had a delicious dinner, we had garlic bread, salad, chilli sauce and mince. And our dessert was ice cream and apple crumble, Unfortunately I did not have any.

Dragons Eye Lake

Today in room 3 with Mrs Tele'a we learned about the dragons eye lake and how it came to look like an eye of a dragon. In the myth they say that there were two brothers, one blind brother and one who could see. The brother that could see stole his blind brothers land, and he found out and cursed him the there would be nothing. When the brother went back to the land there was nothing but water. The land the the brother had stolen was a lake, an there was a dragon to protect it. The only condition the dragon had was that he was received a bride every year, apparently not a single bride has made it 'till the end of the wedding. Aristole came in to save the new bride and stabbed the dragons heart with a spear that had moon dust on it. The dragon was left in agony and gauged his eyes out and threw them, one landed somewhere and the other landed in the lake witch then sunk into the ground. Now that lake in Rogoznica look like a dragons eye from birds EYE view. (get it)

Cambodian myth of Lighting,Thunder and Rain.

Today Room 5  rotated to Room 11, and learned about the myth of how Lighting,Thunder and rain came about. In the beginning of the story The master Lok Ta told his three top student Moni Mekhala,Vorachhun and Ream Eyso to collect a full jar of Morning dew, And that the first to bring it to him would be the master of a mysterious gift. Vorachhun and Ream Eyso left early hours in the morning and left not one leaf wet of Morning Dew. When they got back They had seen Moni Mekhala relaxing in the room with Lok Ta with a full Jar of Morning dew. She had left out a scarf over night to collect the dew in the morning, and when it was reading she ringed the water out into her jar.

Animal Testing

Animal testing

Do you want your family pet to die from animal testing? it’s a tradedgy that over 2 million animals die from animal testing. This essay will explain why animal testing is used, why it should be band and why it is so cruel.

What is animal testing:

Animal testing is a cruel thing to do. Depending on the experiment, animals could be tortured by being injected with drugs, be forced to wear makeup or skin care and they could even be operated on! Imagine if this was being done on your beloved family pet! How would you feel if this happened to them?

Banning Animal Testing.

Is animal testing necessary? Not only is animal testing cruel but sometimes it dosen’t work. some animals have different allergies to us humans, so if the medicine is tried on the six different animals it might not work on people . this is such a waste, these animals don’t need to be tortured every year for our sake. Animal testing needs to be banned.

Why do we do animal testing.

Do you know why scientists experiment on animals? Well they need to test on animals to make sure that the products are safe. Every year scientists test Rabbits, rats, mice, monkeys, dogs and cats, surely we can find another way to examine things to make cure’s for us human’s.

To conclude animal testing is a bad thing not just for animals but for humans as well. Animal testing must be band forever. We must find something else to use to test our medicine on, and make our world safe again.

Do we really need school holidays?

Do we really need school holidays?

Do you enjoy your school holiday? Is your holiday long enough for you? This essay will explain why we need school holidays. Children need school holidays to Relax,Spend more time with their families and to get ready for school to start again.

Relaxation:

Children need holidays to relax.for example, young kids can have a break from all the stress and play with their toys,And the big kids can spend more time during the school holidays. If you at school for too long you could over work yourself. Holidays could also be used for more family time.

Family time:

The school holidays is a chance to spend time with your family. For example,In the holidays you can spend more time with your family and just take a break from the hard work at school. Even though you have weekends to spend time with your family that’s just 2 days, and we need more time with them, you could go on a trip overseas or go camping. After your trip you could come home a bit early and get ready for school.

Refresh:

After relaxing and coming home from a trip you could get ready and refreshed for school. For example after a two or three week break away from school you can come back to school all refreshed and ready to learn. After a full term of school you could get exhausted, but if you have a holiday break you could be more excited for school.

To conclude having holidays are important because children need to relax, spend time with their family and lastly to refresh before going to school.
